What is the job about?
Your primary responsibility will be to conduct electrochemical tests as well as develop new applications based on Electrochemical testing methods, investigate corrosion properties of various stainless steels, and coatings, thereby helping us to better understand how and why materials applied in our products react as they do in various applications. Furthermore, you will drive and expand the business area through continuous dialogue with internal key stakeholders. You will be involved in the entire process from the initial client request to reporting the test results, but you will also be leaning into the evaluation, interpretation, quality control, uncertainty, lifetime and ‘lessons learned’ from the conducted experiments. You will cooperate closely with clients and lab colleagues to design, create and validate new testing methods.
Your tasks will vary in size and complexity from short term urgent assignments to larger development projects. You will be the one conducting the planned tests and must therefore thrive with performing hands-on lab. experiments as well as analyzing and benchmarking materials.
Beside testing base steel materials, you will also be involved in developing Electrochemical impedance testing for our various coatings that are applied as corrosion protection of different pump parts. When required, you will be included in lab. assignments related to other teams within the Materials laboratory to support the overall deliverables toward our client.
What do we offer?
Join the Materials Laboratory in and be part of a great team of 12 very experienced Laboratory Technicians and Engineers, who test and analyse materials and pumps for our R&D departments and production sites. You get a unique opportunity to:

Combine your theoretical knowledge with your passion for performing practical test to exceed limits
In , innovation is a cornerstone and you will be challenged on your ability to bring your theoretical knowledge into play across many different test methods, materials and assignments. Simultaneously, you use that knowledge to spar with lab colleagues and partners within our R&D organisation and hereby lift the lab to an even higher professional level. Finally, you get the chance to show your drive and ambition to grow as a technical expert and exceed your limits in the Materials Laboratory.
Strong technical background and experience within materials analysis
You are educated as a Chemist or Materials Engineer within materials science.
You have working experience working with applied electrochemistry-based analysis.
You have a significant hands-on experience with various materials testing.
