Turbine Solutions Control Infrastructure Control Infrastructure Engineering Application Software
The department delivers turbine application software for all Vestas' turbines including Safety Software and Functional Safety at turbine level. The present position is a Functional Lead position for the turbine software application development not including safety software.
Facts about Control Infrastructure:
• 400+ microprocessors within the turbine
• 3+ million line of code
• Deployment to 30.000+ turbines
• Development centres in Aarhus, Porto and Chennai
The position requires a candidate with interest and experience in leading the technical direction for the high competent teams of application developers. The application software development teams consist of approx. 50 employees between the locations in Aarhus, Chennai and Porto.
Responsibilities
As Functional Lead for Application Software, your main responsibility will include:
• Ensure that all application software development across projects and geographical locations are done in accordance with best practice
• Ensure that relevant design guidelines are in place and up-to-date
• Sign-off for application software development activities at peer reviews
• Support developers in their daily tasks if they have doubts on how to develop application software
• Drive development of best practices within application software
• Drive and maintain roadmap of improvement initiatives within application software
• Work with functional leads from other areas to set the overall direction for turbine software development within Vestas
Qualifications
To succeed with the above, we expect you to have:
• Experience with embedded software development
• Experience with agile development
• Experience with or understanding of model-based design

• You have a natural interest in improving processes, practices and tools
• You have good communication skills
• You have the stamina and drive to push changes through
• People experience you as being robust and can stand against pressure
• You deliver what you promise
