Power Solutions Aerodynamics & Mechanical Pitch Actuation
The Aerodynamics & Mechanical team are part of Vestas Power Solutions, which is the cornerstone of Vestas. To put it short: Vestas Power Solutions develops the wind power systems of the future.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for generating creative solutions to design challenges, in order to fulfil the product and technology road maps
- Close collaboration with stakeholders across the value chain on engineering the best solutions to achieve the right quality and cost savings
- Design verification and validation protocols with suppliers
- Technical go-to for External stakeholders
- Work in close collaboration with the purchase department and suppliers at a strategic level
- Support the definition on technology strategy
- Definition of cost and product performance levels
- Responsible for project documentation quality
- Drive technical functional excellence
Qualifications
- M.Sc or B.Sc within Mechanical Engineering in the field of machine components, hydraulic (Mechatronic or similar)
- Experience with a larger organisation dealing with complex products
- Good knowledge on practical aspects of Hydraulics and knowledge of hydraulics overall.
- Experience with relevant tools such as Mathlab, Simulink and APIS
- Experience with Statistical and accelerated testing methods (i.e reliability testing, HALT, CALT testing method)
- Knowledge of system engineering tools like DFMEA, HSE assessments, requirement specifications etc.

- Enthusiastic about practical tests and verification as well as theoretical knowledge
- Team-oriented person that can guide, delegate tasks and present their opinion
- Enthusiastic and engaged, willing to go the extra mile
- Good communication and social skills that secure good collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
