Your tasks & responsibilities as Senior Mechanical Specialist
As a Senior Mechanical Specialist, you will be responsible for engineering scopes on changing HVDC-Scopes, ensuring that all work is carried out according to the design and relevant standards.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
The successful candidate will be expected to form strong working relationships with the other existing teams e.g., in sales, tender, project management, construction, and most importantly, engineering organization.
Your profile & qualifications
You are an experienced mechanical or maritime engineer with an hands-on mindset and preferably coming from an engineering organization already active in relevant fields. You can work collaboratively with others in an international environment.

Your tasks & responsibilities as Senior Mechanical Specialist
As a Senior Mechanical Specialist, you will be responsible for engineering scopes on changing HVDC-Scopes, ensuring that all work is carried out according to the design and relevant standards.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Participation on technical interface meetings with key stakeholders in the HVDC-Business (e.g., yards, HVDC-OEMs, Wind Farm Developers) to support Sales Activities
- Provide Engineering Support on the specification of essential DoR-Documentation (“Distribution of Responsibilities”)
- Leading and executing the engineering process with internal and external resources
- Ensuring clear interfaces towards suppliers and subcontractors with respect to scope, budget and schedule plan
- Being responsible for correct as-built documentation and final handover to QC and 3rd party verification.
- Being (or have a keen interest to become) an expert on Marine-Growth Prevention and Different Cooling Strategies for large-scale offshore platforms
- Being an expert on essential mechanical HVDC-Systems willing to take the role as technical lead

Your profile & qualifications
You are an experienced mechanical or maritime engineer with an hands-on mindset and preferably coming from an engineering organization already active in relevant fields. You can work collaboratively with others in an international environment.
To succeed in this position, we expect that you:
- Mechanical or Maritime Engineering degree (MSc/BSc), or equivalent technical discipline qualification
- Profound relevant Experience from a similar role
- Knowledge on 3D-Modelling Tools (e.g. Areva 3D) and 2D-CAD Application BricsCAD/CADWorx
- Advanced experience with full mechanical system design such as:
- Cooling water system including sea and cartelized systems.
- Process and piping
- Material selection for piping system and piping specification.
- Diesel generator and diesel system.
- Basic experience with industrial layout design, routing, 3D modelling, structural and weight estimation.
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Experience with stakeholder management and change management
The job will involve travelling up to 30 days a year.
