Would you thrive in a position where you will provide technical support, perform on-site & in-house service and teach customers and colleagues about DEIF’s products? For our Service & Support team, we are looking for a skilled and committed Service & Support Engineer that can deliver high-quality service and support that exceeds our customers’ expectations.
The job
Service & Support Engineers are the face of DEIF. Therefore, you must be able to communicate technical details clearly with customers and colleagues of varying technical knowledge, language and cultural backgrounds, in person as well as by phone and email. You will be part of a dynamic department, where solving complex problems and thinking creatively will set demands for your technical skills.
As a Service & Support Engineer, your tasks will include:
Expected travel activities: approximately 10-50 days per year.
The person

You should have one or more of the following experiences:
As you will experience a lot of customer contact, you are customer oriented and service minded. An important part of the job is also to complete internal and external training and therefore, you are comfortable with presenting and communicating with other people. You are a person who is independent, a self-starter and one who can change between tasks with minimum preparation. Someone, who enjoys being part of a team where enthusiasm and commitment is key and who possess an international mindset.

The job

As a Service & Support Engineer, your tasks will include:
- Service visits in connection with commissioning, replacement of products and troubleshooting
- Support sales representatives/colleagues in the preparation of quotations and complex applications
- Technical remote support for products (Phone, Chat, Ticket, 24/7 service phone)
- Execute technical training for customers and DEIF employees and keep training materials updated
- Test of new/existing products and give input to/reviewing technical documentation
- Convey market feedback on products and trends to Product Management
Expected travel activities: approximately 10-50 days per year.
The person

You should have one or more of the following experiences:
- Education: Industrial Electrician, Marine Engineer, Automation Engineer or equivalent to
- Experience in electrical diagnosis, knowledge of power or engine operation and control and regulation techniques
- Basic programming experiences in either C, CODESYS, HMI scripts or similar
- Preferably 2-3 years relevant and practical experience from power generation and/or control industry
- Knowledge of utility interface standards
- Technical aptitude and the ability to follow technical instructions and convey complex technical concepts across diverse platforms
- Fluent in English, other spoken languages are beneficial
