The area
As a Product Reliability Engineer you will become part of Demant’s Product Reliability Engineering team consisting of eight engineers and technicians working in Smørum, just outside Copenhagen and four engineers and technicians working in Szczecin in Poland.
Our team is a part of the Quality Department with focus on quality and reliability throughout all phases of the product life cycle. A major part of our work is verification testing according to reliability and mechanical requirements set in R&D projects.
We are located in our product quality laboratory, equipped with a state-of-the-art test and analysis equipment where work is performed in compliance with requirements from FDA and international standards.
The job
As our new Product Reliability Engineer, you will be working closely together with Product Quality Managers to support R&D projects by reviewing designs, making test plans and testing specific constructions.
In addition to this, you will take part in development of our test, documentation and work methods also ensuring that all testing is validated and in compliance with FDA and medical device regulations.
In the job, your main responsibilities will be:
- Reliability engineering and verification testing activities in R&D projects:
- Reliability engineering support to R&D projects, including design reviews, test planning within own project responsibility, also including coordination within the team, creating test specifications, test execution (mechanical, environmental, reliability), test reporting and failure analysis
- Development of test methods and equipment:
- Creating new and updating existing test methods, develop new test equipment both manual and automated and validation and qualification of test equipment

Personal qualifications
In order to be a success in the job, we expect you to have an educational background on Bachelor or Master level within the areas of electronics or mechanics. And we also imagine that you have knowledge and experience in the area of reliability testing within mechanics and electronics.
Knowledge of programming test equipment, experience with working with test data and electro-acoustics, will be a big plus.
In general, you are experienced working according to established quality processes and have a good documentation practice.
As a person, you are characterized by excellent people and communication skills. This enables you to become a highly appreciated and trustworthy partner quickly – both among your colleagues and among the many internal and external stakeholders. You have a unique ability to drive work processes forward with great enthusiasm and dedication and possess superb analytical skills enabling you to break down technical issues and processes and to communicate the results in a simple and efficient way.
You are highly structured in you work and at the same time able to identify and propose things that can improve our ways of working.
You are fluent in English both written and spoken, as it is our company language.
