Job-Link is looking for an Electrical & Automation Engineer with min. 5-7 years’ experience to one of our customers near Copenhagen.
In our customers department they contribute to the business and the department is responsible for projects within the Marine, Power and O&G business.
The overall company has about 700 employees in Denmark.
As Electrical & Automation Engineer you will be joining the team being responsible for the projects electrical system design and documentation.
A project includes bid/quotation support, engineering and design, specifications for procurement, test of engineered solutions, documentation and technical support during commissioning.
Key tasks:
You will work from our department which is located 15 km from Copenhagen and together with colleagues from other E&S sites depending on the scope of projects. Expected travelling days are 15-20 days per year.
Who are you?
You have a degree in electrical engineering & currently you might be working with electrical engineering in relevant industries (Marine, Power plants or preferably within Oil & Gas offshore).
Your educational background is in electrical engineering with use of international codes and standards such as IEC, ISO, DNV GL, Hazardous Areas (ATEX).
We expect that you have min. 5-7 years relevant work experience.
The work requires that you communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
As a person you are a team player, structured and organized with good communication skills and cultural awareness. You are committed to deliver the agreed projects results - in time. Have strong influencing skills and can establish and keep relationships with customers based on trust, respect, and understanding of their needs.

The first 12 months is a temp position, and after that and if you do the tasks well - it will be changed to a permanent position. It is the plan from start and it will be followed - if your skills are right for the position.

Key tasks:
- Execution of projects involving the design of complex customized electrical engineering systems
- Review of customer specifications/tenders
- Engineering systems for hazardous (ATEX) / non-hazardous areas
- Specifying equipment, instrumentation and controls incl. procurement
- Documentation for complete design
- Inspection of equipment
- Check the requirement of the standard for IEC design safety standard EN60204-1 safety on machinery and for UL design UL508a and safety on machinery NFPA79 (for north America).
- Preparation of the i/o list and selection of PLC, HMI accordingly
- Engineering calculation where we do load calculation, Power calculation for main incomer, Transformer, Power supply, Heat load calculation.
- Cable sizing and selection and calculation as per application and requirement, components selection e.g switchgears, Protection devices, VFD, Enclosure, Barriers, etc.. as per requirement, standard and site location. And prepare panel BOM accordingly
- Create and be a part of using standard template of testing for different part of the equipment. You need also be in charge of developing and maintaining test procedures suitable for the equipment design.
