Mechanical Engineer, Power-to-X

Your new team

You will be part of our growing PtX department which consists of 40 dedicated colleagues. We are currently working on several utility-scale projects in Denmark as well as North and South America. As a Mechanical Engineer you will have an important role and get the chance to work with some of the biggest PtX plants in an innovative department.

Your new role

In this position, you will find yourself in an environment with a big variation of interesting tasks with design, configuration, and development of mechanical deliveries to our PtX projects. You will have a close dialogue with suppliers and subcontractors as well as internal stakeholders to make sure that the mechanical packages are matching the project requirements.

You can look forward to working on the following tasks:

  • Develop projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and overseeing construction for assigned packages.
  • Make technical specifications and support procurement with technical clarifications and quote evaluation.
  • Performing/supervising engineering calculations, such as stress analysis and structural design calculations.
  • Reviewing blueprints and other design documents to ensure that they meet industry standards.
  • Providing technical support to other disciplines and subcontractors as needed.
  • Coordinating with other members of the engineering team to ensure that projects are completed according to schedule.
  • Conduct tests and inspections of mechanical deliveries.
  • Support to warranty and O&M team.
  • Development of procedures within the engineering discipline.

Job prerequisites

  • You have an education in mechanical engineering.
  • Ideally min. 7 years of experience in energy or process plants.
  • Preferably 2 years of work experience as mechanical lead where you had been responsible for multiple engineering packages.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of Navisworks.
  • Preferably you have used engineering systems such as Aveva, Comos, or Autodesk.
  • Preparation of documentation for CE-marking of industrial plants.
  • You have very good oral and written communication skills in English.

You are an efficient, organized, and results-oriented person with a solid problem-solving mindset. It is important that you have good structural skills and can keep the overview while working in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment with high complexity.
