We are seeking an FEA specialist to join the Global Hardware Technology Center group within our Mechanical Department in Lyngby.Who we’re looking forAs a new member of our team, you will join a global group of dedicated and skilled colleagues, including Material Specialists and Technology Product Managers responsible for Topsoe’s proprietary equipment portfolio, such as Waste Heat Boilers, MeOH reactors, Refinery Reactor Internals, and more. Your role will involve working closely with other stakeholders across the organization, including FEA specialists, Mechanical Engineers, Job Engineers and Project Managers across our Delhi and Lyngby offices.Our team's primary focus is designing and developing advanced pressure-bearing equipment that operates under high pressure and temperature conditions.Your role will involve providing expert FEA support on both external technology projects adhering to Topsoe’s standards, as well as proactively contributing to internal development projects. Key responsibilities include:
  • Structural, thermal, and thermo-structural analysis of critical components of proprietary equipment, such as Waste Heat Boilers, MeOH reactors, Ammonia Converters, SO2 Converters, and Torus Mixers, during commercial project execution
  • Proactive product optimization in internal development and cost optimization projects
  • Performing linear and non-linear analysis, including plasticity and creep problems
  • Designing thermal protection solutions
  • Developing internal FEA tools using Python, built-in ANSYS, and standalone applications
  • Preparing and releasing technical documentation in English for in-house and external use
  • Participating in the development process and troubleshooting of equipment.

    We are seeking ambitious and skilled candidates ready to take on this challenging role.What you’ll bringYour qualifications:Your qualifications:
  • A degree in mechanical engineering with 8-12 years of experience in solid mechanics, FE analysis, programming, and software development using Python
  • Strong understanding of structural mechanics and finite element method theory, with expertise in FEA software such as ANSYS (Classic + WB), including APDL.
  • Mastery of pressure vessel codes like ASME VIII-2 and EN 13445 is highly preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD, INVENTOR, and Nastran is a plus
  • Background in fatigue and creep analysis is an added advantage
