About the role and key responsibilities

As our Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring our cloud environments are secure, compliant, and resilient throughout our cloud transformation journey. You will configure Azure policies, enforce security standards such as NIST and CIS18, and collaborate closely with the Platform Engineer and Application Engineer teams to integrate security measures into our CI/CD pipelines. You will also develop solutions to protect sensitive data using encryption and Azure Key Vault while continuously improving our cloud security posture.

Some of your key tasks will be:

• Configure AAD, RBAC, PIM, and work with Azure Purview to secure cloud resources and sensitive data.

• Monitor and review the cloud ecosystem while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

• Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure code deployment and compliance with secure coding standards.

• Manage encryption strategies for data protection and ensure Azure Key Vault is used effectively to protect secrets.

• Review and optimize network configurations across the Azure ecosystem to minimize security risks.

• Collaborate with platform and application engineering teams to implement security controls at every stage of the development lifecycle.

Your profile

You will report to our Director of Security & Cloud Transformation and your primary workplace will be Brøndby. You will be part of a dedicated, cross-functional cloud team driving the organization’s cloud initiatives, working closely with other engineers to ensure a secure cloud environment as we migrate and modernize our infrastructure.

• 3+ years of experience in cloud security, preferably with Azure, and strong expertise in securing cloud environments, identity and access management, and securing cloud-native applications.

• In-depth knowledge of Azure Active Directory (AAD), RBAC, PIM, and experience in configuring and managing security policies in Azure environments.

• Experience with security compliance frameworks such as NIST, CIS18, and other relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2) for cloud environments.

• Familiarity with cloud-native security tools like Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Azure Key Vault for data protection and threat monitoring.

• Experience integrating security practices in CI/CD pipelines and working with DevSecOps methodologies to ensure secure coding practices and automation of security tasks.

• Strong understanding of cloud data protection techniques, including encryption, key management, and identity management in cloud environments.

• Experience with cloud network security, including configuring network security groups (NSGs), firewalls, and VPNs in the Azure ecosystem.
