About the role
On behalf of Atos Solutions and Services, Academic Work is currently looking for a Networking Engineer to join one of their customers' department in Copenhagen. For this position, we are looking for a candidate who is passionate about technology, various Operating systems, cybersecurity, technical incident resolution and has hands on knowledge on Switching, Routing and VPM configuration.
As a Network Engineer, you will get to design, build, and lead complex network infrastructure environments. In this position you will get to use your experience within computer network administration to help the daily operations at one of Atos' well-renowned customers. Your focus will be on continuous improvement and automation, using state of the art scripting languages and tooling, and it is therefore important that you have a general understanding of database and application servers such as SQL, Oracle, JAVA, Web Servers and Services.
Additionally, in this position it will be possible to work remote occasionally. You will also be expected to participate in work related travels to international locations in this position, if necessary.

This position is a staffing-employment through Academic Work. This means you will be employed via Academic Work but will work at our customer's location.
Job duties
Among other tasks
- Designing, building, and leading complex network infrastructure environments
- Working on continuous improvement and automation
- Assessing business issues, identifying risks, and interpreting these into technology solutions/requirements
- Troubleshooting a wide variety of infrastructure network and communication issues
- Establishing and maintaining technical and process documentation for both project implementation phase and post implementation operations
We are looking for
- You have a BA in Computer Science, IT or other relevant area of knowledge
- Minimum 4 years of experience within computer network administration or IT communication
- Being certified in Microsoft or Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, MCSE) is a big advantage
- Previous experience of project handling/coordination
- Demonstrates knowledge of IT-related hardware and software systems
- Have a general understanding of database and application servers such as: SQL, Oracle, JAVA, Web Servers & Services
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of Swedish and/or Danish is not a requirement, but an advantage
