YOU WILL BE PART OF A GREAT TEAM

As our new Financial Controller, you become part of an experienced and professional finance team within energy trading that consists of 4 colleagues – two Accountants, Finance manager and CFO/CEO.

Yggdrasil Group currently consists of 9 subsidiaries, and we keep extending our portfolio with new markets and products. This dynamic environment adds more complexity to our team, as we continually need to embrace new tax regimes, various currency exposure, adjustment of our risk environment etc. to new market uncertainties - calling for even more efficient processes and incorporating new knowledge and tasks in the daily operations.

We take pride in automatization of many of our tasks to ensure our time is spent on facilitating the business needs and revealing reporting data to stakeholders in real time – or close to. Supported by IT, the newest technology is applied, and we are always looking at ways to optimize our ways of working.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Manage the monthly and yearly closing of the financials, including bookkeeping in cooperation with our accountants – controlling and checking the entries
  • Coordinate the audit process and corporate tax matters for the group, including TP together with our tax advisors
  • Assist with strengthening risk control environment and risk management reporting on specific business areas
  • Assist with relevant financial projects
  • Optimize financial processes and internal controls
  • Ensure next-level financial controlling and reporting
  • Close collaboration with the business on finance & risk-related matters

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a colleague who is independent, proactive, and service-minded, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality and timely results.

More specifically we imagine that you have:

  • A relevant educational background in finance, auditing or management accounting
  • 3- 5 years of experience from an audit firm or working within a finance function (preferably in a global organization) – experience from an energy trading company is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent attention to details
  • Knowledge of risk management methods and techniques
  • A profound understanding of the Danish Tax legislation and IFRS is an advantage
  • Experience with preparing TP documentation is an advantage
  • Great IT skills, super user in Excel, knowledge of PowerBi is an advantage
  • Great English capabilities, as English is our company language
