Do you want to be part of the largest listed insurance company in Scandinavia having the overall responsibility for the group’s tax department? Do you have experience from a similar role as Tax Director, Tax Manager, or Tax Advisor - and are you passionate about being close to the business in an exciting company with businesses in Denmark, Norway & Sweden?
We are looking for a Tax Director who will be responsible for tax at group level.
The Tryg Group has become more international, larger, and thus more complex over the past few years - and the tax department plays an important role in supporting the company’s continued growth.
About the role | Tax at Group Level in the largest listed Insurance Company in Scandinavia
You will work closely with the management and the business, among other things, in connection with the development of new services/products, and you will have a large interface.
With reference to the company’s Head of Investor Relations, External Reporting, Tax, and Group Investments activities, you will be responsible for a team of three employees in Denmark and eight employees in India.

About you | Sparring Partner to the Business
We imagine that you have a cand.merc.aud., master in tax, or similar. You have either experience from a similar role in a larger group or an audit background followed by a few years of specialization in tax in a larger audit or consulting firm.
You have a solid tax “toolbox” incl. experience with corporate tax in Denmark and provision of tax in annual accounts. You have knowledge of VAT, TP, employee taxation, tax in relation to M&A, investments in funds, etc. Experience in the insurance industry is an advantage but not a requirement.
You have strong analytical skills, a good accounting and business understanding, and are passionate about acting as a sparring partner for the business.
As a person, you can maintain an overview, and prioritize your and the team’s tasks - without losing focus on the details. You have drive and are a motivating leader.
You are good at creating relationships and communicating across all levels of a large organization.
Finally, you are fluent in Danish and English and have a flair for IT and digital development.

- Management and development of the team in Denmark and remote management of the team in India
- Tax in quarterly and annual reports
- Preparation of tax returns, etc. for companies and branches
- Joint taxation in Denmark
- Transfer Pricing
- VAT, payroll expenses, and financial tax
- Continuous monitoring of changes in taxes and duties
- Contact to the Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian tax authorities
- Contact to audit
- In addition, compliance tasks and ongoing ad hoc.
