On behalf of our customer a Danish shipping company we are due to growth looking to employ a Group Financial Controller. Referring to the CFO you will join a finance team of eleven highly qualified and ambitious colleagues located in the group HQ in Hellerup and Singapore.There will be a broad palette of tasks waiting for you. After a proper introduction, you will be deeply involved in developing and performing the controlling, monitoring, and reporting activities related to the company as well as the shipping related activities.
The assignments of the position include
You will be joining a finance team covering accounting, controlling, reporting, treasury, and corporate finance functions for the entire group.
Desired skills and experience
The ideal candidate holds a relevant academic degree e.g., M.Sc. in Accounting/Finance or similar.You have a minimum of five years of professional experience in accounting. This may have been obtained from roles of auditor of financial controller. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of IFRS and Danish statutory reporting. Prior exposure to the maritime industry will be an advantage, but not a requirement.You are a fast learner with the ability to produce high caliber products without losing the overall picture. You are a self-starter who thrives on working independently whilst enjoying contributing to the success of the entire finance team.As a person you are well organized, flexible, have a high sense of urgency, and know how to prioritize your tasks.Fluency in written and spoken English is important as English is the corporate language. It is also important that you are an experienced user of IT systems to develop and improve processes and that you are superuser of MS Office – especially Excel.We currently work in SAP BCP, MS Dynamics NAV in the finance department and IMOS is the core business system. Knowledge of these systems is not a requirement however an advantage.

- Participation in the preparation and controlling of interim and annual reports
- Tax planning, control of portfolio investments and subsidiaries
- Ad-hoc support to management in relation to investments and subsidiaries
- Participation in projects in the group
