A very interesting opportunity to join the Fleet Energy Optimization and Analytics department, which is a small and newly establish part of Fleet Technology. We are supporting the strong drive to reduce energy consumption and decarbonize the fleet.
Fleet Technology is a specialized maritime engineering competence center responsible for ship design and support to the Maersk fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Senior Specialist one of your most important tasks will be the holistic data analysis linked to means of saving energy across the fleet.
You will be responsible for verification of vessel related initiatives including benefit tracking of both new-buildings and retrofits.
Other key area will include:
- Holistic evaluation of time charter vessel designs both considering fuel and intake and support Chartering function on vessel design selection
- Interaction with internal software platform teams to develop, push and guide development of new features which could enable next step in fuel savings.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have a relevant background such as naval architecture or similar technical engineering combined with a solid experience within data analytics, understanding of vessel performance optimization and preferably general understanding of global liner network operations.
It will be considered a significant benefit if you are proficient programing in Python and familiar working with data from Azure environment.
You are also a confident and effective communicator, with the ability to discuss technical topics in all levels of a global organization along with great presentation skills.
Furthermore you:
- Have strong interpersonal and team working skills with a “self-starter” attitude
- Should have a strategic and analytic mind-set and have experience of working with multiple stakeholders across cultures and seniority
- Are able to zoom in on the relevant details while keeping the holistic overview at the same time.
