[xxxxx]is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for SMTHOUSE AB. We are seeking an experienced and strategic CFO to join the leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in financial management, a deep understanding of stakeholder and shareholder relations, and experience in navigating the complexities of growing a business.

Besides becoming a close and trusted partner to the CEO – handling as well the classical areas of responsibilities regarding Finance, Back Office, IT, HR as the current growth strategy and working with critical strategic projects, and other future business critical projects, you will be a very important part of creating the future of SMT HOUSE.

About the job – Responsibilities and tasks:

1. Financial Strategy and Planning:
   • Develop and implement financial strategies to support SMT House’s growth and long-term objectives and oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
   • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team on financial performance and business direction.
   
   
2. Financial Management and Reporting:
   • Manage financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and internal controls.
   • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders, including board members and regulatory authorities.
   • Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements and annual reports.
   
   
3. Operational Efficiency:
   • Enhance financial systems and processes to improve operational efficiency and data accuracy.
   • Lead initiatives in digital transformation and automation within the finance function.
   • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
   
   
4. Risk Management and Compliance:
   • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
   • Oversee risk management activities, including insurance and internal audits.
   • Maintain robust governance and internal control frameworks.
   
   
5. Stakeholder and Shareholder Management:
   • Manage relationships with stakeholders and shareholders, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
   • Provide financial insights and support for strategic decision-making processes.
   
   
6. Team Leadership:
   • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
   • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
   • Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and growth.
   
   

Your background and qualifications:

You will be an obvious candidate if you have/are:

• A relevant academic degree (e.g. M.sc) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a CFO or you are at this point in a senior financial leadership role aiming of becoming CFO in your next role, preferably you have experience within the manufacturing or technology sector and with some knowledge of financing capital goods (+0.5 MEUR).
• Strong background in financial planning, analysis, and reporting and experience with digital transformation and ERP implementation and some knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the manufacturing industry.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills as well as being a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and strong business acumen.
• Experience in managing stakeholder and shareholder relations, with experience in public company financial processes being advantageous.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Swedish or Danish is a plus.
