The CFO of Sealand Europe will be part of the Sealand leadership team and will be responsible for managing and overseeing all finance activities in Sealand Europe.
You will be leading the finance teams in Sealand Europe and Mediterranean.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the management reporting to the Sealand Europe Board of Directors and other key internal stakeholders in Maersk.
Other key tasks:
- Conduct financial performance review with the Sealand Leadership team including forecasts and recommendation of actions
- Guide Sealand Leadership team on strategic direction and actions
- Responsible for internal and external accounting, financial reporting, Sealand Authority matrix, compliance and control, adherence to IFRS and APMM GAAP.
- Drive the Sealand Operating System
- Manage Finance Business Partnering in Sealand Europe including finance input and elements of business decisions as well as performance management and forecast on key drivers
- Direct management of the Sealand Europe HQ Finance team (17 FTEs incl. CFO). The Finance teams include, Reporting and Compliance, Finance Business Partnering and Financial Planning and Analysis
- Oversee the performance of GSC Sealand finance teams as well as the local finance teams’ support.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have a Finance educational background (HD or Cand. Merc. degree at an accredited university) combined with experience from a similar position.
Ideally you have worked in logistics or shipping to better understand the business context and you have experience with driving organizational transformations.
You have solid knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
You have:
- Experience in financial and strategic planning and execution
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
- The ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
As a person you have excellent and interpersonal skills – with the ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
You are able to create results through people and you are openminded and collaborative in nature.

- Are a team player with cultural intelligence to work across the company
- Are result and deadline-oriented and have the courage to challenge the current set up.
- Drives with purpose and focus the standards at Maersk, listening to inputs while not deviating from achieving high quality outputs
