Microsoft Automation Engineer

Come join our growing team in Prague! Colleagues in the Microsoft team are looking for a new team member who will provide technical and operational support across several platforms and services and will contribute to the future expansion of those services. This role will be primarily focused on PowerShell scripting.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Manage your own priorities and performance to deliver high quality, highly performant solutions to our customers
• You will lead by example on continuous improvement of our services & way of working
• Working within a project management/agile delivery methodology in a leading role as part of a wider team.
• Identification of new opportunities for automation within the process
• Designing new automation scripts, processes, and tools
• Simulating and testing these scripts, processes, or tools to ensure they function as desired
• Writing reports for senior colleagues outlining new concepts, testing outcomes, and ongoing efficiency
• Programming new automated components to the process
• Developing and maintaining clear and accurate documentation of automation items or processes
• Mentoring / Training where necessary – typically after implementing new processes or making changes to existing ones
• Troubleshooting automated processes or tools when errors occur
• Production of DevOps specifications
• Assist in Identify the root cause of issues and, where appropriate, advise on suitable solutions or resolve as required through automation
• Performance troubleshooting
• Keep up to date with advancements in technology

Our requirements:

• Demonstrable Extensive experience working with PowerShell
• Great understanding of managed service provider operations and systems administration
• Experience of automating infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of the Windows platform
• Experience with .NET framework
• Experience of Windows Server administration.
• Knowledge of networking principles
• Experience of working with Microsoft Azure APIs and Azure PowerShell
• Advanced analytical and Communication/Interaction skills
• Fluent English, both spoken and written
