Backup Infrastructure Specialist

We are a team of 6 specialists, searching for a new colleague. Come join our Operations team, where backup is one of our main responsibilities. You will get an opportunity to use the newest technologies and have a lot of storage to work with.

About the position:
You will be responsible for our Centralized Veeam Backup & Replication infrastructure, ensuring that it is running and making sure that everything is working as expected. Your primary tasks will consist of, but are not limited to patching, configuration, maintenance, reporting and new installation of our Veeam Backup infrastructure. You will also take part in the design of our backup infrastructure.

Your responsibilities:
• Responsibility for our Veeam infrastructure on:
o Our centralized Veeam Backup & Replication infrastructure
o Veeam O365 backup infrastructure
o Veeam Cloud Connect infrastructure
o Copy jobs and Tape
• Take part in design of our backup infrastructure
• Provide input for Capacity planning
• Assist our consultants with multiple on-premises Veeam installations on which most of these are replicating our cloud-connect environment
• RFC work: planning, creation, CAB participation and finally execution of the change when approved
• Assist colleagues with case work and other ad-hoc task.

About the team:
The operations team are responsible for all centralized systems or services. E.g., Datacenters, Compute, Storage, Hypervisors, Monitoring- and Backup Services.

Required skills:
• Deep Veeam knowledge or certification as Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) or equal experience on expert level
• When bringing your experience, then min. 5 years of experience in maintaining a large backup environment
• Experience with backup storage (IBM Storwize + Flashsystem), Tape (HP and IBM Libraries), SAN infrastructure (Cisco MDS + Brocade)
• Be fluent in English, both spoken and written, as our communication language is English
• Proactive approach, mindset of improving and willingness to learn
• Knowledge working according ITIL framework
