Join Funding & Markets, where you’ll be part of the team responsible for all external funding activities of the A.P. Møller- Maersk Group, our internal bank and relationships with credit rating agencies, bond investors, banks, and export credit agencies. In addition, the team is responsible for managing the interest rate risk on group level.

Funding & Markets team is part of the Global Treasury & Risk organization with 70 treasury professionals of 12 nationalities based in Copenhagen, Cape Town, Haag, Hong Kong, India, Panama & USA.

As Senior Funding Officer, you will have the overall responsibility for managing Maersk’s debt capital markets and corporate financing portfolios and be supported by two colleagues. Currently, Maersk is present across several bond markets with the ambition to be a regular issuer in the Euro and US bond markets both with new issues and liability management exercises.

The position will give you an opportunity to advance your knowledge within funding activities of a global company, and you should expect a dynamic working environment characterized by a broad range of challenging and exciting tasks. In the role you will be in close dialogue with internal and external stakeholders, which will enable you to build your network and add value in our global organization. You will also gain valuable understanding of the treasury operations in a large global corporation which will open ways for your future career both in Copenhagen and abroad.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include the following:

• Taking overall responsibility in connection with debt capital market transactions, loan market transactions, liability management transactions or other major financing transactions of the group.

• Negotiation of loan (bilateral and syndicated), bond (EMTN & 144A) documentation and ISDA agreements etc.

• Work actively with the debt portfolio to minimize the funding cost, while reflecting our market view and risk appetite.

• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as banks and the company’s business units.

• Be prepared to take on challenges outside your established job description incl. ad hoc analysis and tasks.
  

Who we are looking for?

• We are looking for a seasoned finance professional, ideally with at least 7-12 years of relevant DCM/loan experience from a bank or corporate treasury.

• You have strong communication and collaboration skills as you will be dealing with many internal and external stakeholders.

• You have a positive and open mindset and are comfortable with working in a changing environment with many different tasks.

• You are a self-starter with ability to work independently and bring projects and work to closure.

• You hold a master’s degree in finance, economics, or similar.
