Ballard Power Systems Europe can trace its roots back to 2004 in Skive when what would later become Ballard Power Systems Europe was separated into a division of a local business specialising in energy-efficient quality products for heating, cooling and ventilation. In 2010, half of the company was acquired by Ballard Power Systems, a Canadian enterprise, which took over the rest of the business in 2016.

Can you ensure high quality in production planning?

As Master planner at Ballard Power Systems Europe, you will become a part of a strong team consisting of six employees placed at the headquarters in Hobro. Your most important tasks will be to organize and run the overall production planning, ongoing identification of stock availability and establish a secure and continuously statistical forecast used by different stakeholders within the organization. You will work cross-functionally, operationally, and strategic with developing the daily production. Furthermore, you will be providing input and recommendations to management on production plans and production scenarios.

You will be responsible for:

• Collecting inputs from relevant parts of the organization (commercial team, supply chain, technology, operations and finance) to manage manufacturing capacity resulting in one Master Plan.
• Coordinating and communicating between functions to facilitate alignment and decision-making on management level.
• Run the monthly demand planning process in Dynamics AX to secure a good statistical forecast to be used by the rest of the organization.
• Support the purchase department and Global Sourcing with yearly raw material forecasts for contract negotiations and run the monthly S&OP sourcing process.
• Roll out and manage the planning strategies, safety stock and reorder point updates and evaluations towards the production plant. In this process you will also support the production with forecasts where relevant, for both production and purchasing call-of.
• Secure maintenance of master data related to the demand planning process.
• KPI tracing, analyzing and identify actions to improve, and secure implementation.

Who are you?

• You possess a minimum of three years of experience from a similar position.
• We expect that you have an education within Supply Chain Management or within logistics with focus on planning.
• You are used to working with Microsoft Projects and Microsoft Dynamics AX (or other ERP system).
• You are fluent in English at a professional negotiating level.
• You are structured and systematic coupled with a keen eye for detail.
• You are a team player who can work independently and proactively
• You can deliver high quality results in a time-constrained environment
• You feel comfortable following fixed guidelines and processes but are not afraid to challenge them if something can be done more efficiently
