Would you like to join the Treasury organization of the leading Nordic bank? We are looking for a business student with a flair for technology or an engineer student interested in learning about financial instruments and risk management. Group Treasury manages the market risks arising from the firm’s balance sheet and the investments in the banking book.

About this opportunity

Welcome to Group Treasury, which consists of approximately 70 professionals across the Nordics and international units, of which 20 are located in Denmark. Treasury is responsible for the profitable optimization of the Group’s structural market risks, investments into liquid securities, funding and liquidity management, and modelling of balance sheet relationships. Initially, you will work with Nordea’s internal pension funds (EUR 3.7bn AuM) and interest rate risk in the banking book, expanding our analytical capabilities to further sophisticate the investment process and supporting presentations to senior stakeholders. As you progress, you will get the opportunity to work across more Treasury frameworks to explore your interests.

What you’ll be doing:
You will be working in close collaboration with collegaues in the team, which will support you and guide you in solving upper mentioned tasks.

The role is technically orientated and involves close collaboration with Treasury dealers and quantitative analysts, offering plenty of opportunities to learn from both. You will be based at our headquarter in Copenhagen, working 15-20 hours per week with flexibility around exam periods.

The quantitative aspects of the role require a comfortable level of coding experience in Python and SQL, ideally from previous work or school experience. Your work will support decision-making and should therefore be structured and reliable. You will get the chance to work on new technology and implement solutions with autonomy. Therefore, we expect you to take ownership for your tasks, be honest and communicate clearly should you encounter problems. Above all, we want you to be curious and driven to learn.
