European Energy is a Danish privately owned company in rapid growth. We cover all phases of wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from early development to operation and in some cases divestment of assets. Our company of +400 employees has since 2004 installed more than 2.0 GW of renewable energy. We operate globally and employ 30 different nationalities at our HQ in Copenhagen and our offices in 16 other locations, primarily in Europe. As our new Construction Manager, you will be part of our project execution team, and you will work closely with colleagues in Denmark, as well as with our colleagues in Italy, Lithuania, UK, Poland, and Sweden. Your primary focus will be to handle the construction of our solar/PV and wind projects in Denmark, primarily in Jutland, but there will also be opportunities to assist on other European wind and solar/PV projects.

Your role will be to effectively steer the construction of our multi-MW sites by coordinating the interface between our internal Project Manager, Engineering and Procurement, and the numerous construction subcontractors on site. You thrive with complex situations, finding fast and good solutions to problems on the way, but also have the experience to foresee most of these.

Areas of responsibilities

• Acting as European Energy’s representative for constructions with authority towards contractors and stakeholders to ensure HSE, time, cost, and quality
• Planning, management, and coordination of construction site activities
• Contract Management of supplier and contractor agreements
• Health and Safety – ensure that owner’s responsibilities are respected
• Risk and mitigation planning for all work on-site

Your profile

• Education as Electrician or similar background
• Experience in building major project with multiple contractors and handling the coordination of QHSE
• A quality-minded and structured approach to work
• Microsoft office skills and general data/technical analysis skills
• Communicating clearly and with authority in Danish and English
• Technical understanding/interest and experience with Wind or solar/PV construction is good but not required

We seek a motivated, organised, and result-oriented colleague with a solid problem-solving mindset. It is important that you have good structural skills and can keep the overview while working in a high paced and multidisciplinary environment with high complexity.
