Responsibility and KPI’s for the new commercial manager

Your job will be to retain and develop a sustainable turnover in the Nordics, as well as being responsible for the daily Commercial operations. You will have a team of five persons based in Denmark, Finland and Norway. The Nordic team is to be developed over the coming period, and you will employ an additional two-three persons over the coming period in your Nordic team.

We are looking for a “hunter” profile more than a “farmer” since the customers are working with continuous development of their logistic solutions and there are still potential customers in the market.

Primary tasks:

• Management: Secure your employees satisfaction. Ensure performance with your Key Account Managers and Asset Managers, and reach the goals
• Customer and relationship management: Conduct customer visits in collaboration with business development, so that customer expectations are in line with Euro Pool Systems services. Continuously ensure customer satisfaction.
• Sales – with special focus on long-term sales to larger retailers and Food Service sector.
• Business development: Develop and refine concepts for clients in collaboration with your management colleagues and your Nordic team
• Reporting: Follow-up on activities and results both with regards to operation and sales

Are you a “Nordic” profile?

We are looking for a commercial manager with experience from both people management, sales, and sales management in the Nordic countries. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years’ experience from retail logistics – either from a retailer or from a freight forwarder.

The Danish depot is in Horsens, and this is also the office for your Danish colleagues. Therefore, it will be an advantage if you live within commuting distance from Horsens. You should expect at least 80 travel days a year to customers and Euro Pool Systems depots in Finland and Norway where your employees also have their offices. The position requires a flexible person that is willing to work and travel more than in a usual job.

Other requirements for the right candidate:

• Language: Danish and English professional spoken and written
• IT: Professional in MS Office. SAP-experience is an advantage
• Personality: Extrovert and proactive, experienced with customer contact at all or organisational levels, entrepreneurial profile, courageous and self-motivated
• Leadership style: coaching more than “management by excel”
