As part of our continued ambition to be the global integrator of container logistics ‘improving life for all by integrating the world’, Maersk is rapidly expanding its breadth of businesses through acquisition, growth, and partnership.
The AP Moller Maersk group contains numerous strategic brands and new acquisitions that are within the process of integrating into the central technology function with many only consuming a subset of centrally provided IT services.
Operational Excellence is the cornerstone of our strategy to enhance our business performance of our brands. It includes all aspects of our IT services and underlying technology from how it performs to ensuring a great end user experience, that is what we strive for!
What you’ll be doing:
The role demands an enthusiastic, individual with account management experience. This should include knowledge of Service Management, ITIL process and a basic understanding of finance. Ability to deal with senior level leaders as stakeholders and comfortable communicating across a range of audiences.
It would be of benefit having experience working in diverse cultural backgrounds with strong relationship management skills to leverage.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working directly with the brand as a Single point of contact, representing the central IT team.
- Creating value by identifying integration opportunities through a shared roadmap.
- Ensure effective Service Management through operational reporting to ensure the quality of each service consumed. Working with relevant technology groups when issues arise.
- Support and take handover of newly integrated acquisition delivered through the Maersk integration process (MAST).
- Ensure efficiencies by sharing central ways of working
- Financially monitoring the value to the brand of the central services offered
- Managing and communicating with key CIO, CFO level stakeholders within the brand.
- Introduce Maersk best in class ways of working to the Brands, and alternately new brand innovations to improve the way Maersk operates.
To succeed in this role, we believe that you can offer:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree or professional equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in business analyst, or similar role, participating in large, complex initiatives involving enterprise-class, mission-critical and scalable services
- Demonstrable experience of working in a complex IT environment with a clear e2e focus
- Experience of agile delivery approaches including delivery of agile at scale (e.g. SAFe) and associated ways of working would be an advantage
- Excellent understanding of the approach and process required to successfully introduce new and changed services into an enterprise operations function
- Good understanding of what is required to run operational services effectively including understanding of the technology and tools required to support service operations in a large enterprise
- Experienced in IT Infrastructure and Operations environments along with an understanding of how it supports critical business processes
- Ability to facilitate workshops and other interactions across diverse stakeholder groups to elucidate needs and gain consensus
- Working knowledge of IT tools and practices (Jira, Confluence, SDLC, ITIL)
