Security Consultant

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a structured and self-driven Security Consultant who have the aspiration and foundation to take on a complex security role at GlobalConnect Norway.

Your role will be key in supporting the clients of GlobalConnect and maintaining and improving the security within the network solutions. and services.

You will be part of a Core Network Operation Expert team and take on the specialist role within security – focusing on Ddos and Firewall.

Based on your solid knowledge within network security, you will advise the clients, with different levels of expertise, regarding security challenges. The work is centered around the operation of web-centric security solutions such as Firewall, DDo's protection and confidential handling of cases.

The position includes participation in on-call and night work in connection with planned work in the service window

Responsibilities:

• Preventive maintenance
• Network enhancement
• Error handling
• System responsibility
• Develop guidelines
• Vendor contact
• Testing and approval
• Internal Courses within security
• Technical documentation

Expected skillset:

• Knowledge about the OSI stack especially the first 3 layers, but preferable with the full stack
• Cerfications within Fortinet, Paolo Alto and/or Arbor
• Desirable with experience from providers of firewall service tests such as Fortinet or Palo Alto
• Experience with equipment vendors like Cisco and Juniper,
• Interest within SMART and intelligent “AI” based tools
• Experience with general telecom standards like but not limited to: IP, SDH, Ethernet, xWDM, ATM etc.
• Strong collaborations skills and the ability to level with demanding stakeholders
• ITIL v3 or v4 certified
• Strong written and spoken communication skills both Norwegian and English.

Please note that this position requires that you can obtain a security clearance.
