What you will do

You will be responsible for leading leaders in our engineering department. Here you will align and lead site resources to achieve the needs and expectations of the business. You will lead and participate in cross functional local and regional teams. Besides being a visible and encouraging leader, your main tasks will be to ensure that we reach the business Key Performance Indicators and overlook the financial spends within all engineering activities. You will also improve operational output and efficiency via the identification and completion of engineering continuous improvement projects.

How you will do it:

  • Lead and delegate actions to Engineering Team resources
  • Cascade and lead the safe completion of Quality, Maintenance, and Design and Process Engineering objectives
  • Conduct effective performance appraisals with direct reports
  • Lead Engineering financial budgets including forecasting and overspend analysis
  • Use best practice engineering methods, tools, and techniques to settle and achieve optimum manufacturing conditions
  • Ensure safe and healthy working environment through best practise procedures
  • Support Management of Change activities via effective communication, employee engagement and involvement
  • Complete Process Audits and monitor engineering best practices techniques and standards
  • Improvement strategies: Participate and/or lead activities for engineering footprint analysis, continuous improvement of new and/or ongoing engineering process’ and lean engineering implementations
  • Identify and implement standardisation opportunities
  • To ensure engineering you will lead LEAN implementation and continuously monitor and review improvement action plans
  • Drive cost benefit analysis and assemble capital expenditure requests in line with site strategic objectives
  • Specify resources and factory layouts for new product and process activities
  • Close cooperation with the factory and other key stakeholders

What we look for:

  • Empathic, highly competent, and professional leader
  • Degree in Engineering (mechanical or industrial)
  • 5-10 years of leadership experience (preferable leading leaders)
  • Customized manufacturing environment experience
  • Advantage if you have experience in a Global matrix environment
  • Experience as a Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering Manager is an advantage
  • LEAN engineering and technical mindset
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken, is a must
