Network Specialist for BESTSELLER

They are looking for another Network Specialist to expand their network team of six people. You will become part of a self-organized agile team of highly skilled Network Specialists with end-to-end responsibility for the global network infrastructure. BESTSELLER share a passion for new technologies, and you will experience great room to manoeuvre and have direct impact on their solutions. They are key players in a wide range of network and security related projects and aim to keep solutions simple and deliver with the end-user in mind.

The position

As a Network Specialist in BESTSELLER IT, you will be actively contributing to their many ongoing projects, where your input, technical knowledge and architectural mindset will be invaluable. They hire for attitude and train for skill, so your most important skill is your interest and drive within the network field. They want to challenge existing platforms, and some of the current and future projects include diverse areas such as:

• WIFI
• Cloud network infrastructure
• Standardizing deployment
• Network infrastructure automation
• Modernizing datacentre hardware and design
• Network access control and segmentation
• Development and maintenance of their core network

In addition to projects, you and your network colleagues make sure that the day-to-day running of corporate network works smoothly, by maintaining and troubleshooting on their existing network and configuring everything from firewalls to switches.

In BESTSELLER IT, the atmosphere is more like that of a start-up than an IT department with more than 250 colleagues. They have rapid decision processes, there is room for experimenting with new technologies, and they move fast from idea to execution.

BESTSELLER have a hybrid workplace, so your daily work will be carried out both from one of their offices and online from where you are.

Qualifications

What matters to us is that you approach your work with an open mind and that you have a natural curiosity to learn and evolve. It is less important whether you have a master’s degree in data sciences or you are a self-taught network wizard. In addition to a natural curiosity, we are looking for the following:

• Experience working with any network technology
• Experience working with dynamic routing protocols
• Experience working with large enterprise grade networks is an advantage
• An architectural mindset
• Knowledge about NAC solutions and concepts
• Experience working with VPN technologies
• A general understanding of network security
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Personality

You have a strong desire to learn and understand new technologies, so you are always on top of the knowledge and technologies within network. Being part of a small team, it is natural for you to share your knowledge and to inspire and support your colleagues. You contribute constructively to team discussions and enjoy finding solutions to complex problems together. You work with focus on the long term and strive to maintain a “business first” mindset, and thrive in a role, where you collaborate closely with colleagues of various backgrounds and nationalities across both the business and internally in BESTSELLER IT.
