As Energy Systems Consultant at EMD International, you will be part of the Consultancy department consisting of currently 11 employees and 6 nationalities, who works together through well-functioning competence-based collaborations in a decentralised and multicultural team environment. The team performs various analysis and consultancy services stretching from pre-analyses to upgrades of existing energy systems to advisory on strategies for reducing CO2 emissions in industrial processes.

With direct report to Head of Consulting the Energy Systems Consultant’s main responsibilities are related to the further development of systems and solutions offered to customers; EnergyTRADE provides solutions for Power Stations and the industrial sector and enhances their abilities to upgrade and operate their energy systems through the utilisation of green energy.

The responsibility and assignments related to the position are:

• Join the EnergyTRANDE Team and take part in the maturing and development of the solution and product area EnergyTRADE and EnergyPRO
• Support and perform energyTRADE installations together with the internal team and in collaboration with customers
• Perform consultancy assignments and enhance customer relations with existing and potential customers
• Continuously develop and improve EMD International’s solutions, products, and services to meet future market and customer demands on the international scene

Your qualifications are based on solid theoretical and/or practical knowledge within the energy sector, probably through your experience in organisations such as engineering consultancies, power stations, or energy suppliers. Having insights into the work within development, R&D, or innovation, perhaps in collaboration with customers or suppliers, or other external actors, is an advantage.

You have a technical educational background, perhaps in energy techniques or energy planning systems, thus, having collected theoretical knowledge in energy models from a component or system perspective. Alternatively, you have a general engineering background combined with experience in the energy industry.

You are a person with an engaged and communicative mindset, you have a strong professional drive, and you are culturally curious. EMD International consists of employees of many different cultures and is defined by an international and knowledge-driven value set.

Travelling: Minimal – currently primarily one-day trips.

Domicile: The position holds good flexible possibilities for remote working by further agreement. Head Quarter is positioned in Aalborg.
