Joining the Development & Governance department of Atea, you will be an important part of the team responsible for the technology evolution behind Atea’s cloud offering and security – where you will also be in touch with our global vendors.

The team currently consists of 7 dedicated colleagues based in Denmark and Latvia, and furthermore you will work closely with colleagues based in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and the Baltics. We use the latest technology to secure services exceeding our customers business requirements – from solution design, testing and implementation to the final handover to Operations.

A unified infrastructure for a global Atea approach
At Atea, we have started a journey towards a more global approach, unifying our processes and infrastructure to become more for our customers. The next years will therefore encompass transformation and adaption towards a common delivery between our 5 Nordic countries.

You will be the one to execute these changes in our current set-up in order to support the business strategy. This will be on a physical as well as on application level, with automation as the primary choice whenever possible.

Your new role is diverse and involves multiple stakeholders, as you will investigate upcoming technologies and give input to system and service road maps. Specifically, you will:

• Support the design and execution of our road map elements and ensure a professional and streamlined handover process of new technologies
• Handle major system and service upgrades in cooperation with our operation team
• Spec hardware solutions as well as plan and carry out hardware installation
• Handle access control and be responsible for datacenters, support security audits and stay in dialogue with datacenter vendors

”An important task will also be to consolidate some existing systems across the Nordics
while phasing out others. You’ll analyse what’s the right thing to do and give your
recommendations with a holistic view of the business,” explains Alex.

Experience with VMware technologies and hybrid clouds
We are looking for a colleague with a broad understanding of IT capacity as well as performance and infrastructure design. Moreover, we imagine that you:

• Have some years of experience from an IT service provider, working with VMware technologies and hybrid clouds
• Have worked with security supporting Microsoft Active Directory, e.g., PAM
• May have some knowledge on DWDM
• Are fluent in English

As a person, you can drive your own tasks forward as we work from different locations, but you also enjoy teamwork and know the importance of reaching out to your Nordic colleagues. Furthermore, you are able to keep a holistic view of the business despite a complex infrastructure landscape, and you are not afraid to think out of the box for new ways of doing things. Finally, you stay committed to learning and improving your competences.
