As a Field Application Specialist at Bio-Rad Laboratories, your main function will be to provide specialist field support to customers, support the Account Managers in selling more, and build up partnerships with customers. You will be the connection between the customer site and Bio-Rad, to secure the successful implementation of quality controls, instruments, support training, and customer care. You will work as part of a high-functioning team, including Account Managers and Inside Sales.
With direct report to Nordic Sales Manager, you will act as the liaison between Bio-Rad and clinical Laboratory staff at the customer site to secure the successful implementation of quality control products. With IT solutions, you are the liaison between Bio-Rad and the IT department at the customer site.
Your key responsibilities are:
Your qualifications are strong technical skills to demonstrate complex electronic equipment/instruments and/or consumables for research combined with experience from a customer-facing role, providing excellent service and matching product solutions with customer need and translating technical solutions into clear customer value.
Ideally, you have a degree in Laboratory Technology, Clinical Diagnostics, or another technical educational background or related to the hospital laboratory, for example, or within laboratory equipment/medical devices.
You are a highly motivated self-starter and have a strong ability to work independently but also contribute in a team environment. Moreover, you are able to initiate contact and develop relationships with people and have a proactive and creative approach to looking after the needs and concerns of customers.

- Pre-sales discussions and demonstrating the capabilities of Bio-Rad’s Quality Controls and Product line and configuring optimized QC solutions with customer needs
- Working in close cooperation with the Account Managers, supporting them in analyzing the territories, identifying growth opportunities, building relationships with customers and KOLs, and strong involvement in the sales process to accelerate QSD growth
- Project planning, deployment, and configuration of chosen software solution, including supporting interconnections/network/applications, system testing, troubleshooting, and updates of software
- Provide customer training as well as inside training to Bio-Rad employees, Quality Management and Quality Controls, Software solutions (handling), and other related customer training
- Assisting with tender responses and quotations, creating and managing opportunities and customer service teams, and maintaining records in the CRM system
- Increase QSD sales at new and existing accounts through strategic sales presentations, Workflow improvement, case studies, and/or other sales-related documents to foster sales growth for the product line
- Installing Software Solutions, including interconnections and system testing
