Process Owner for BEC Patch Process

We are looking for an ambitious Process Owner ready to continue driving the transformation of vulnerability and patch management in BEC

You will be based at BEC in Warsaw and you will be joining a small but progressive team, Operational Excellence, which is a newly established department in IT Operations. Our purpose is clear: To strengthen our risk management and customers’ operations by continuously improving our operational business processes and governance around it.

You will have a key role in ensuring that BEC continuously reduces the cyber security risks in our infrastructure and thus help increase our customers’ security levels.

BEC is undergoing a transformation where Operations and maintenance along with risk, security and compliance are top strategic priorities. What makes this role particularly interesting is that you will be key in driving this transformation with further development of our vulnerability and patch management services.

Primary task and responsibilities

In the position as Process Owner, you will work closely with IT Operations Director and many different layers of the organization. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and driving the definition of Patch product vision and 5Q roadmap
  • Building, prioritizing, and maintaining team backlog
  • Ensure stories are delivered according to agreements (Definition of Done)
  • Contribute to team events and be a key member of the agile team, and work proactively with the Scrum Master to ensure that the team events fulfil their purpose

Other important responsibilities

  • Understand the problem space by engaging with internal and external stakeholders (primarily internal)
  • Define and drive development in a highly complex environment with many different stakeholders and at times, conflicts of interest
  • Act as product ambassador managing and actively seek and ‘listen’ to feedback from key stakeholders
  • Acts as a change manager for the Patch process ensuring that initiatives are anchored successfully to create sustainable change.
  • Continuously identify needs and gaps in the organization and turns them into incremental deliverables
  • Delivery focused with excellent attention to detail
  • Stimulates creative ideas and perspectives that add value to the vulnerability and patch process
  • Ability to demonstrate strong BEC leadership values by using sound judgements to make timely and effective decisions

We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in most of the following skills and experiences:

  • 3+ years of experience with IT life-cycle management activities
  • M.Sc. in IT or other related fields
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Experience with process management
  • Experience from the financial sector or complex IT environments is an advantage
  • Experience with vulnerability and patch management is a big advantage
