Energy originator for German market

As our new originator, primarily for the German market, you will join our European Origination team which is responsible for all DC’s customer-related activities in Europe. The main part of our customers are owners of flexible and renewables assets, such as wind turbines or photovoltaic parks. Further, we connect with large energy consumers and provide them with market access and access to renewable energy. The team’s overall goal is to be the best to provide solutions that will enable our customers to grow their businesses – and we do so by providing full market access for them and their assets. You will do origination work mainly on behalf of DC, but you will also support our parent company, Equinor, in their origination activities. As such, you will contribute to reaching both DC’s and Equinor’s green ambitions towards 2025.You will join a team with a deep understanding of the energy market and our customers’ needs and how DC’s capabilities, combined with market conditions, can provide our customers with the best possible market access. In the team, there is an informal tone, and we believe that working as a team is the key to success. We are a diverse team with various nationalities and backgrounds, and our team members are seated across various European office locations (HQ in Aarhus and in our offices in Hamburg, Gothenburg, Stavanger, London, Singapore and Brazil).

Your journey as our new originator
Starting out, you will get a thorough introduction to the team, your stakeholders and our customer business. Your first task will be to become familiar with our processes and our strategies towards 2025 (DC and Equinor’s). As part of the European Origination team, you will explore opportunities mainly in Germany, but you will also support the Nordic and CWE markets and provide input and develop solutions that will create value for our customers and their assets. You will help nurture the relationship with our customers as well as counterparties. In time, you will play a significant role in the entire value creation of our renewables and flexible assets business. Responsibilities

• manage and facilitate relations with renewables and flexible asset owners in Germany and surrounding markets – e.g. PPAs, corporate PPAs, battery storages and PtX
• manage and facilitate relations with large energy consumers in Germany
• drive contract negotiations in collaboration with our Legal department
• in general, increase DC’s market presence related to renewables and flexible assets, primarily in Germany

Qualifications

we expect that you:

• have experience with or are highly interested in energy origination, deal structuring and negotiation
• have, as a minimum, basic experience with renewables PPAs and corporate PPAs
• are proficient in English and German – both written and verbal
