What You Will Do

Overall responsibility for ensuring that our products sold in the EMEA area comply with all applicable regulations for where they are sold. You will be under the mentorship of the PS/RC Director placed in the US. You will be accountable for Johnson Controls products lifecycle management and support in the field of safety regulatory compliance, process, and execution of key compliance programs/initiatives to drive proactive and sustained compliance in lifecycle management of the product line, from key new product introduction (NPI) through end of life (EOL), to enable delivery of business needs.

You will be an active team member in the new product development teams on core safety for the Global Products to ensure Design-in safety and regulatory Compliance and implementation of lessons learned (safety related field campaigns, warranty, etc.) are rolled back into development, manufacturing and as part of true EOL. How You Will Do It

  • Serve as an experienced regulatory compliance advisor and authority on key strategic and critical compliance issues
  • Lead Problem solving activities (independently and as a team) on critical Product safety/Regulatory compliance investigations
  • Provide compliance expertise and global compliance perspective in the development of risk mitigation strategies for NPI from requirements to deployment
  • Understand product and process risk profiles, proactively identify and prioritize risks. Partner with others to bring up critical risks to the appropriate level of management
  • Partner with Global Supply Quality team and sourcing to provide compliance oversight and implement compliance programs to ensure compliance with all voluntary, regulatory and statutory standards
  • Represent Regulatory Compliance in applicable forums and councils
  • Partner with other teams to identify critical safety/Regulatory compliance areas for improvements in the product to assure continuous improvement

What We Look For

  • University degree in a technical field
  • Demonstrated experience in Driving Product Safety and regulatory compliance in New Product/Process Introduction starting from design phase to launch
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in related field of Product Safety, Regulatory Affairs and/or Regulatory Compliance
  • Ability to work with cross functional-team and also be able to work independently
  • Prior experience leading various aspects of Safety Regulatory and Compliance globally
  • Ability to balance technical understanding of products and processes with compliance perspective
  • Demonstrate strategic agility when facing difficult situations when no near-term clear path is ideal
  • Keeping focus on long-term goals
  • Structured and systematic mind-set
  • Travel may be required up to 10% -15% for project support, factory, customer site, and field visits
  • Working knowledge in English – written and verbal
  • It’s an advantage if you live in Denmark, but it’s not a requirement
