&friends recruiting on behalf of Gloster and your new employer is the leading manufacturer of high-quality outdoor furniture with 1.000 employees worldwide and active in over 55 countries. Gloster specializes in teak furniture with a Scandinavian design language and has its own manufacturing facilities in Indonesia, where strict standards for sourcing sustainable materials are maintained. The company belongs to Diethelm Keller Premium Brands, the global market leader in premium outdoor furniture. Thanks to their own manufacturing facilities and close collaboration with leading designers, Diethelm Keller Premium Brands, directs the entire value chain and secures the highest standard for its furniture. Gloster is located in Lüneburg in Germany and employs approximately 30 employees and with flexibility physical presence is desired.
The Position.
In your new position as Managing Director, you will become a part of the management group and reporting to the Board of Director and becomes full P/L responsibility.
You will be asked to assume the lead role in the overall leadership and be responsible for defining and executing the strategy of the Gloster business in Europe and APAC and to create profitable and positive business results. You must maintain and secure the leading position in the market, as well as proactively win new markets shares and create and develop strong sales channel positions.
Your main tasks will be overall management, development and coaching of the organization, where there is a focus on strong commercial performance, good human relations and high professionalism, ranging from design to manufacturing, sales, marketing, and development.
Excellence management and sales skills
To be a success in this position, we expect you to have strong sales skills and international experience within international sales. Experience from another market leader in premium/luxury outdoor furniture outdoor will be an advantage.
As a leader, you are motivating and trustworthy. You engage and inspire others and build an environment of trust and honesty. Your unique people skills allow you to effortlessly take informal leadership of diverse groups and lead to results - and change if necessary.
You also have the ability to manage people and stakeholders with a cooperative and motivating attitude, but at the same time take decisions, but be clear on needs and directions and to negotiations on a professional level. Ability to analyze data, structure the information, make clear strategies/work procedures and implement within the organization.
We expect you to hold an education within sales- and or management completed with experience from a similar international position. You have been leading an international sales team successfully and have a great business understanding for sales cycle and the parameters and processes for working with sales excellence. You speak fluent English and German language would be a plus. You must be flexible to travel for business, fairs, and internal meeting.
