Do you have a background in Electrical Engineering and would like to join a green company with an important agenda? We are looking for our new Grid Integration Specialist located in Vilnius, where you will have the professional responsibility of ensuring grid connection of our large pipeline of wind- and Solar power projects.

Your new department

As our new Grid Integration Specialist, you will be part of our EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) department which handles all the engineering activities of European Energy. Among these are the ensuring grid connection agreements, providing grid compliant park design, optimize park designs and achieving the final permits for power generation, that enables the parks to create green power and value.

Increased number of projects, requires a lift in colleagues being able to lift the tasks at hand. To succeed, it is important to manage project electrical design preparation and compliance with the grid requirements as well as ensuring design compliance to local norms and regulations.

At present we rely on local consultants to carry out the grid and substation design. With more and bigger projects we need to increase our engagement with the grid and substation design and quality.

The Grid Integration team (a part of EPC) consists of six specialists located in Søborg and one located in Milan (Italy). You will work in close cooperation with the specialists and have the possibility to utilize their in-house expertise. Your everyday work life will be from the office in Vilnius or out on the local sites. Furthermore you will have the professional management of our local consultants in Lithuania (presently from Kaunas) to ensure quality and progress.

Your new role

The new Grid Integration Specialist will become a part of company’s expert environment working with grid integration. You will be responsible for ensuring correct and timely connection of our wind and solar parks in Lithuania. In the role as Grid Integration Specialist, you will have a broad interface internally e.g. to project managers, project developers, etc. and externally to TSOs, DSOs, and consultants.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical dialogue and negotiation with DSOs/TSOs regarding the grid connection, and ultimately the grid connection agreement.
  • Ensuring continuous overview of the national technical and legal requirements needed (according to local norms and regulations but also including EU network code (RfG) to obtain the needed permits/operational notifications (EON, ION and FON permits) for wind and solar farms.
  • Management of our local grid consultants.
  • Negotiation with TSO for suitable Grid Connection Condition.
  • Review and evaluation of Grid Connection Conditions and managing the fulfillment of these.
  • Ensuring that substation design (producers part) meet standard EE requirements (SCADA functions, equipment specifications, etc.)
  • In cooperation with EPC and project development teams scoping and tendering of electrical subcontractors for the design preparation and construction phase.
  • Providing estimates of Grid Connection CAPEX, related to each project.

Your Profile:

You have:

  • 3-5+ years relevant professional experience from Lithuanian distribution and transmission systems sector regarding: Grid Compliance Requirements for Grid Connection, Grid Analysis, planning and design.
  • You have a Bachelor and/or a Master in Electrical Engineering.
  • Fluent in Lithuanian and English.
  • Knowledge and experience with PSS/E (Powerfactory, PSCAD etc.) would be beneficial.
  • Experience with TSO and Grid Integration of the power plants would be beneficial.
  • Team player, skills, as well as solid interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Preferably knowledge of construction law, requirement and processes in Lithuania.

Salary Level Lithuania: 5000/6000/EUR per month depending on experience.
