Are you our new Design Lead? A person who is passionate about making a significant impact on Nordea’s customer experience and the community that designs them?
We are in the middle of a digital transformation for both our customers and our colleagues. It’s an exciting time to join us and work on digital experiences that reach millions of people across the Nordics.
The position we offer
This unique experience provides you with the responsibility to lead a design team to ideate, design and implement an innovative design vision for our Nordic wide digital products and services. We are looking for someone that can weave together the business, customer and design vision into inspiring solutions that excites our customers.
This means that you will partner with the Head of CX & Design and Design management team, to build the vision and priorities. You will also translate and evolve that vision with the design community, rapidly test with customers and business experts before it goes out into the hands of our customers.
We are also looking for someone that is just as inspired to improve things for our team, as well as for our customers. As you know, design and design thinking are essential in building impactful experiences and we want your expertise and passion to help us bring design practices into the agile delivery model, and eventually, to the rest of Nordea.

We are looking for an inspirational person that can lead and motivate our team to creatively solve complex design problems by considering various perspectives, gathering meaningful insights, and building solutions with both our customers and your creative vision. This means that in order to be successful, we are looking for a person that has a rich experience driving and shaping the user-centric design vision and process across business, technology and design. We are also looking for a person that is genuinely interested in mentoring and nurturing other designers to help them grow within the team and their individual skillsets.
You will be one of the architects responsible for creating a significant impact on our people and customers, so you must also have a creative mindset, an understanding of what drives our customers and our business and knowledge of what is technically possible. You will also be leading a team in their day to day work, collaborating with a diverse set of specialists and working with senior leaders regularly, so your capabilities must also include the ability to facilitate innovation, as well as the ability to both inspire and influence people across various areas, and levels of the organisation with strong stakeholder management and clear communication skills.
