As a Student Assistant in Corporate Strategy, you will join a small, dedicated and energetic team of colleagues, who has a high-level responsibility, exposure and focus form top management. Corporate Strategy is a function in VIKING that works with several strategic disciplines. This involves facilitating the corporate strategy process, supporting business development activities, providing an overview of projects and strategic support in M&A processes. Additionally, the function works as internal consultants in the VIKING group.

Student assistants are an important part of the VIKING organization. Many of our students also complete their internships with us and write their thesis about real life projects and challenges in VIKING.

Your primary responsibilities and tasks includes:

• Assisting with project management on Strategic Projects, i.e. segment strategies / go-to market models
• Being a team player in the strategy process, e.g. be involved in the facilitation of workshops
• Assisting on internal consultancy jobs, within functional areas; Strategy or Business development
• Be a part of the team working with PMO, and provide strategic insights into the process
• Performing market research and analysis
• Preparation of presentations for management and clients
• Ad hoc tasks and assistance to the M&A team

You will work approximately 15-20 hours a week (2-3 full days) – with flexibility around exam periods. The job comes with the option to work from our satellite office in Aarhus or headquarter in Esbjerg.

Your profile
The ideal candidate is currently studying a B.Sc. or a M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration, Economics or any related study with a strong interest in business, economics and strategy and have at least 1 year left of studies.

• Thrive in a busy global environment and bring a can-do attitude
• Possess analytical skills to make sure decisions are based on data and facts, to the maximum extent possible
• Can maintain a sense of humor, even when the workload is high

Since our corporate language is English, you have great English skills – both written and orally.
