Development director for Data & Cloud

We are looking for a tech savvy development director with extensive leadership experience
Data & Cloud has the overall responsibility for business intelligence, analytics, data governance and cloud in BEC. This covers development and maintenance of platforms as well as tools, best practice and advisory in relation to use also strategic direction as well as aiding other areas of BEC in their business deliveries. The development area consists of 90 employees in 8 teams.

"Data & Cloud is driving the cloud transformation within BEC and building a new cloud-based business intelligence and analytics platform for BEC’s customers as well as internal use. This makes this position the center of high profiled development in BEC and for the customers,” says Jan Peter Larsen, deputy head of Customers & Business Transformation.

As new development director you will be leading the way in this transformation, and you will report to the deputy head of Customers & Business Transformation.

At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely.

Primary task and responsibilities
In the position as development director, you will work closely with the management team within your division, with customers, the management team in your domain, and other development directors, enterprise architects, etc. in BEC to ensure cross-company collaboration.

Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Live and lead BEC’s leadership foundation
• Drive the transformation of BEC in cooperation with BEC’s team of directors
• Develop and lead your management team
• Communicate with key stakeholders and collect and share feedback
• Build and develop high performing teams in both Denmark and Poland to enable them to effectively deliver backlog and define teams’ mission
• Proactively identify and prioritize high-level maintenance tasks to ensure platforms, systems and data is in good condition
• Risk accountable; identifying, monitoring, and mitigating any risk within line of work
• Give input and ultimate commitment on scope, budget, and timeline for delivery of entire domain backlog
• Ensure development is in line with architectural principles and guidelines
• Ensure teams has necessary budget, resources, approvals, and other support
• Ensure transparency on decisions, progress, and results

Preferably, you have an educational background at Master’s level and several years of experience from a similar position working with transformation and building it-solutions – ideally with the domain of data, BI, analytics and cloud. You will also have several years of experience building and leading development teams – preferable across countries.
