Your new team

You will be part of the Civil Engineering Team, which consists of 10 colleagues and forms an important part of the EPC Department. Your new role

This is a unique key position, where you will be analyzing and optimizing our ongoing as well as future projects. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, advisors and potential investors.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare SoW for measurement campaigns e.g. Wind Mast, Lidar, participate in the selection of the contractor, and drive the technical alignment between parties. Coordinate and oversee the installation, maintenance, and calibration of measurement equipment to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret meteorological and energy production data from on-site measurement systems, remote sensing devices, and other relevant sources. Analyse historical data and correlate it with site-specific conditions to enhance the accuracy of energy yield predictions.
  • Conduct detailed resource assessments to determine the potential energy production of wind projects. Utilize WindPro modelling software to simulate energy flows and analyse relevant data for various terrains, weather conditions, and energy sources.
  • Work together and provide guidance to employees on the use of WindPro and promote WindPro best practices. Collaborate with other teams and departments, to gather necessary data and ensure accurate inputs, e.g. losses estimation, for assessment models.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and presentations that effectively communicate assessment findings, energy yield predictions, and associated uncertainties to internal stakeholders, advisors and potential investors.
  • Collaborate on optimizing energy system layouts and configurations based on assessment results to maximize energy production and project viability.
  • Contribute technical insights during site selection, project design, and financial evaluations throughout the project development process. Assist in construction, operations and divestment processes.
  • Develop and maintain standardized EE procedures for wind data collection and processing, yield studies, input parameters and quality control.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements in wind and hybrid renewable energy assessment methodologies, technologies, and best practices.

Job Prerequisites

  • MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Sustainable Energy, Wind Energy or similar.
  • Proven experience in renewable energy resource assessment and energy yield prediction.
  • Proficiency in relevant modelling software such as Windpro.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and apply statistical methods for analysis.
  • Familiarity with measurement equipment, data acquisition systems, and remote sensing technologies.
  • Proficient programming skills (Python, MATLAB, R, etc.) for data analysis and automation.
  • You have very good oral and written communication skills in English.

The adequate candidate is a skilled communicator, motivated by working with and communicating technical information to different stakeholders (internally and externally) in an international environment. It is important that you have a problem-solving, structured, and analytical mindset as well as a sense of responsibility toward our tasks in order to effectively drive them independently but also in team setup when necessary. You have a high level of accuracy in data processing and reporting.
