QHSE Specialist for P2X operations

Your new team

You will be part of the Group Risk Management & Insurance department which currently consists of nine colleagues, located across four offices in Denmark and the UK. QHSE is a well-founded team with four colleagues located in Støvring, Søborg and Rødekro – and we are now looking for our fifth colleague to be based in our production facility at Kassø PtX and primarily supporting the O&M phase.

Your new role

As our new QHSE Specialist, you will be part of building up of newly established QHSE department, ensuring that we have all the necessary processes and procedures are in place to provide the best support to our organization in the development, construction, and operation of Power-to-X projects.

Your main responsibilities

  • Develop and execute robust HSE strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to the unique dynamics of our newly constructed process plant.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, identifying potential hazards, and implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and operational teams to integrate safety considerations into every facet of plant design, construction, and operation.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with HSE regulations, and promptly address any non-compliance issues.
  • Provide guidance and training to personnel on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, analysing root causes and developing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Champion a culture of safety awareness and environmental consciousness among all staff, fostering a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of HSE activities, incidents, and compliance status.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and external agencies to facilitate permitting and ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes, implementing relevant updates to enhance HSE standards.

To thrive in this position, we imagine

  • You have 5+ years of experience working with QHSE in operation and engineering projects.
  • You have a relevant educational background, e.g. Marine Engineer or maintenance engineer.
  • You are a good communicator and relationship builder. You are fully proficient in English, and it is good if you speak Danish or other languages.
  • You have experience in setting up QHSE management systems.
