Director of Financial Shared Services

We are looking for an experienced motivating leader for our Financial Shared Service Center, who can secure that our Demant company culture and values continue to be the basis on which we develop, operate, and create value. At our Financial Shared Service Center in Szczecin in Poland we want to continue the good work done by the former leader and his team. The service center currently delivers financial services for group companies in Europe and North America. Over the past years significant improvements have been made to our organization and our financial processes. We want to continue this journey and further develop our well-functioning and professional shared service center.

As a leader of the Financial Shared Service Center in Szczecin you will be expected to be mainly in Szczecin with frequent visits to Smørum in Denmark where our headquarter is located. You will report to the SVP of Group Finance located at the headquarter in Denmark and you will be member of the leadership team for Group Finance with leadership colleagues covering Accounting, Financial- & Business Controlling, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Finance Systems & Processes. In total the finance organization in our headquarter consists of around 45 colleagues. We believe that the best results come from a collaborative working environment where we work as a team, where everyone contribute with what they do best and where we share goals and priorities. The way we work is both professional and pragmatic, and we enjoy a friendly and informal atmosphere. Everyone contributes to great collaboration and knowledge sharing across our organization.

What tasks are waiting for you?

• Lead, motivate and develop the leadership team and service center organization.
• Ensure that group companies feel and understand the value of what the service center deliver, and through this building the service center’s brand value.
• Further develop the roadmap for value adding expansion of the scope and reach of our service center.
• Secure smooth migration of activities from group companies to the service center.
• Further standardize, professionalize and drive efficiencies in our finance deliveries.
• Improve transparency of the cost and efficiency of the service center towards Management.

It would be great if you have:

• experience from working in a similar role or at a similar level of finance leadership;
• understand the complexities of working in an international environment, and the need for stakeholder management in a service center organization;
• as a person, you have a friendly and approachable nature that makes it easy for you to engage with others;
• you are a great communicator who know the true value of clear and frequent communication;
• you are a team player who likes to deliver result through a team effort;
• you are good at listening and understanding colleagues through a mentoring/coaching leadership style;
• you are self-motivated, and proactive by nature.
