Sustainability Student Analyst to support driving our sustainability agenda

We are looking for a talented student to join our Sustainability Team anchored in the Group Strategy and Sustainability department at European Energy. We offer you a chance to play a part in accelerating a future leader in the green transition by helping to secure progress on strategic sustainability projects in an international environment.

European Energy is a green company in exponential growth. We develop, construct, and operate projects within solar PV and wind farms globally, as well as Power-to-X. Our core values are the foundation of everything we do: In it together, Trust and courage, Ambition, Excitement, Inclusion, and Agility.

The team

In the Group Strategy and Sustainability team consisting of 18 employees, we have a strong focus on developing excellent problem-solvers across Strategy and Sustainability that can become the future leaders of the green transition.

We strive to accelerate personal development and best equip you with the capabilities and traits to drive impact. We do this via tailored personal development plans, and we promote a caring feedback culture with continuous coaching from both your direct leader as well as from our experienced project managers.

Lastly, we also believe that you learn by seeing and by doing – which we translate to inclusion and exposure to a vast landscape of different projects and stakeholders across the company. This means that as a Sustainability Student Analyst you will be involved in projects in a similar fashion to our full-time employees and take part in all project activities end-to-end including meetings, business travels, etc.

How you will create impact

We offer an opportunity to take on a role in the renewables sector with great responsibility and tangible impact on the global challenges of climate change as part of an international and engaged team with diverse backgrounds. Our team reports directly to the company CEO, and you will be reporting directly to the Manager of the Sustainability Team.

As a Sustainability Student Analyst, you will focus on driving change through support across various sustainability initiatives from end-to-end. From the onset of your tenure, you will specifically engage in activities such as:

  • Support workstreams of Sustainability projects across different Strategic Sustainability Initiatives such as our Responsible Business Partnerships Program.
  • Lead your own assignments with close sparring from senior colleagues.
  • Solve challenging problems and bring recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Engage with and support internal and external stakeholders on the implementation of Strategic Sustainability Initiatives and investor reporting.

With us you get

  • Possibility to shape the Sustainability agenda in a leading, highly profitable company with a large appetite to move the bar even further.
  • Steep learning curve through problem-solving, end-to-end ownership of your work and opportunity to build a very strong problem-solving toolkit.
  • Possibility to learn from talented colleagues with top-tier consulting and sustainability backgrounds.
  • Significant exposure to several different decision-makers across our business
  • A strong platform for full-time career in Sustainability upon graduation
  • Great level of flexibility to build a good balance between studies and exams.
  • Opportunity to be part of our Next Generation Student Network, where our +100 students, interns, and trainees across the company meet for social and academic events.
  • You will be part of a truly international environment. With more than 41 nationalities represented in our HQ office you will hear a lot of different languages when you walk down the hallway.
  • You will have ample opportunity to engage socially across the departments. We have a monthly Friday event, free gym in the basement, squash court, as well as sport events such as running club, football club, and mountain bike.

What we look for

We are looking for an individual who is currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree within business administration, social sciences, economics or sustainability. Moreover, we imagine that:

  • You have experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You have a sound level of proficiency in English.
  • You are curious with a large appetite to constantly learn and grow.
  • You are proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to create results.
  • You are engaging and supportive and comfortable working with stakeholders across diverse business areas.
  • You have a strategic mindset and a logical approach to problem-solving.
