Svitzer A/S, located in Nordhavn, has an exciting opportunity as a Student Assistant in the Group Technical department. You will be part of an ambitious team supporting the development and digitalisation within our Global Technical Function. We are looking for a proactive and motivated Student Assistant with great analytical skills who can assist with ensuring that things run as smoothly as possible for the benefit of the team and our stakeholders.

As our new Student Assistant, you will be able to develop expertise in interpreting and analysing complex data whilst getting insight into business technical operations on a global scale. With your analytical skills, you will assist with driving compliance, performance monitoring and maintenance governance across the fleet of a global company. Key aspects of the position entail assisting with developing and managing the Technical KPIs of our fleet (440 tugboats), setting up optimisation tools for monitoring the performance of the vessels, and ensuring global compliance with our standard technical processes.

We Offer

In Svitzer headquarters, we have a lean and flat structure where you will interact with Senior Stakeholders weekly. We enjoy leading with care and learning from each other. You may shape your role and contribute to the Technical Team's success, thus helping Svitzer advance.

As a Student Assistant, you will be part of the Student network, where Students across different Business Units interact and meet for social events. Working hours are between 15 to 20 hours per week. However, we want to support you in your studies. Thus, flexibility is possible, especially around examination periods.

Apart from the above, we have a truly international environment with a professional, engaged, ambitious, yet relaxed atmosphere where we value diversity. Key Responsibilities

You will be working closely with colleagues in both Copenhagen and across the globe to deliver the following responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure compliance with Group Technical KPIs.
• Support and assist the Group Maintenance Manager in updating data in our planned maintenance system.
• Data Analytics and Compliance, i.e., Monitor and suggest improvements for the Group Technical Standard Processes within Svitzer.
• Create optimisation tools in Excel, Power BI, etc., which will help automate the work required to monitor fleet performance. This includes optimising current Excel build functionality, identifying opportunities to automate and display various performance optimisation areas, creating monitoring tools to facilitate automatisation, etc.
• Strategic Project Support and Ad hoc analysis support, i.e., support the CTO and other colleagues on special projects/tasks that might arise, e.g., standardisation of vessel insurance processes.

We are looking for

A confident, energetic person who approaches tasks with a high level of engagement. You are fluent in verbal and written English. You are self-driven and equipped with a desire to drive and complete projects efficiently without compromising on quality.

In addition:

• You are actively enrolled in a University programme and eligible to work in Denmark.
• Preferably, you are studying for a Master's degree in Engineering, Analytics, Operations Excellence, Business Administration, or Strategy.
• You have some experience in stakeholder management as you will likely have dialogues with colleagues from both on- and offshore, including Senior Management.
• You preferably have relevant work experience, e.g., from a previous Student position.
• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• You are an advanced user of the Microsoft Office package, particularly with Excel and Power BI.
• You desire to create optimisation tools for automating various manual tasks across the Technical Organization.
• You enjoy taking ownership and responsibility, and you are entrepreneurial about finding ways to improve the business and its operations.
• You thrive in a busy work environment and are motivated by the international scope of our business.
