Summary:

As the Material Planning Lead, you'll be the orchestrator of our supply chain in terms of material availability, working cross-functionally and leading a dynamic group of 8 individuals. You will be based in the Eindhoven Area (NL) or Assens (DK).

What can you expect as a Material Planning Lead?

• Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to meet production demands while avoiding excess stock.
• Material Planning: Build the material plan based on forecasts to ensure a consistent supply of raw materials and components.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable and reliable supply chain.
• Production Planning: Collaborate with production planning teams to align material plans with production schedules.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as shortages, transportation issues, or geopolitical challenges.
• Project Management: Lead the redesign of the current setup, driven by regulatory changes, support SAP implementation and change management.
• Technology and Systems: Utilize SAP or other systems to enhance material planning efficiency.
• People Management: Lead and develop a team of 8, consisting of professionals on different seniority levels.
• Cost Optimization: Work to optimize costs associated with procurement and material management without compromising quality or reliability.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of material planning, including process optimization, performance metrics, and employee training.
• Compliance: Ensure all material planning activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Communication/Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, procurement, logistics, production, finance) to ensure effective communication and coordination across the supply chain.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter most for this role):

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Experience: 5 years in supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Experience in FMCG is highly beneficial.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.
• Project Management: Strong project management skills, especially in the context of process redesign and technology implementation.
• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with SAP or other supply chain management systems.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
