The Social Movement Assistant will be part of the Global Entity on Social Movements, MOVE. An 3 month appointment.An 3 month appointment.An 3 month appointment.The Global Entity is a knowledge and competence centre of global reach, placed in Denmark and co-lead with AA India and AA Nigeria as part of our local leadership strategy. The Global Entity functions as an action-learning centre, collaborating with our network of thousands of activists and movements across the globe to answer central questions of our time: why do some movements succeed in building bridges and driving institutional change, while others fail? How can formal civil society actors assist social movements in achieving impact and accountability to their constituents, including those most marginalised?The Assistant will provide strategic and administrative support to social movements, which includes SMASH coordination among MOVE partners, SMASH collection of results, develop the movement database, support an EACOP movement gathering at TCDC and online preparation -including outreach and needs assessments, and support the project setup of a training program collaboration between the Climate Action Network, MOVE and the GPs.
