Grid Analyst Engineer for industrial-scale renewable energy parks

Be part of the creation of the most optimal technical solutions for connecting renewable energy parks to the power grid

GreenGo Energy develops and builds industrial-scale renewable energy parks in Denmark, USA, Sweden, the Baltics, Poland, Germany and Africa – solar energy parks, Power-2-X, onshore wind and battery storage for institutional investors – energy companies and private equity. Do you have technical insight into the Danish electricity transmission network from the production of electricity to the users? Do you want to help secure strong technical solutions for connecting industrial-scale renewable energy parks to the electricity transmission grid in Europe? Then we have the position for you

Drive the entire grid connection process from acquisition of land to commissioned energy park

GreenGo Energy drives the entire process, from acquisition of land, site due diligence and assessment, authority approval, grid connection, design & engineering, construction and commissioning of renewable energy parks. You will be part of the Interconnection team, which is responsible for ensuring the entire grid connection workstream and grid compliance, from the acquisition of land to the commissioning of the energy park in the countries in which GGE operates in Europe. Yours and the team’s tasks are primarily within the following 4 areas:

  1. Development of the project by providing and analyzing information from TSO, DSOs and other relevant sources to plan grid connection and ensure that the individual project is profitable
  2. Handle grid connection applications and permits in collaboration with Energinet, DSO and the Danish Energy Agency
  3. Regarding grid connection, to support GreenGo Energy’s EPC team in the entire process of construction of the energy park and connection to the electricity transmission grid, including interpreting requirements from the grid companies and transferring them into practice
  4. In connection with the actual commissioning of the energy park, to handle rules for the electricity transmission network (grid codes) – including simulating, testing and documenting the facilities’ capacity

There is great potential for development in the job. GreenGo Energy is growing and continuously expanding their concepts and technical solutions within solar energy, BESS, onshore wind and PtX.

You report to the Grid Connection Manager and the job is based in Greengo Energy’s HQ in Vedbæk. If you do not live near Vedbæk, it is sufficient to be in the office a couple of days a week.

High Voltage Engineer with experience from the Danish electricity transmission network

You have an education as High Voltage Engineer and a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in larger or smaller parts of the Danish electricity transmission network. Your work experience was gained at Energinet, DSO, another developer of renewable energy or at an energy production company.

It is not a requirement that you have technical insight into the entire value chain, from the initial investigation of land areas to the commissioning of the energy park – just that you have insight into part of this value chain and that you are ambitious in developing your skills, to cover the whole value chain.

Furthermore, we are looking for someone who can recognize themselves in the following – you:

  • Are structured and can plan and execute your work efficiently.
  • Have strong communicative skills and are willing to coopoerate.
  • Thrive in a hectic environment in an international growing company.
  • Work hands-on, are highly independent and a strong decision-maker.
  • Are proficient in both written and spoken English – Danish is an advantage but not a requirement.
