Your New Team- At a Glance

Our Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) team consists of approximately 100 colleagues located across numerous countries. You will be located in the Latvian office, together with 6 other colleagues working on project development. Our primary responsibilities are engineering, procurement, and construction of utility-scale renewable projects. We work closely with the local development team in Latvia, and we have many stakeholders across the organization, including project financing, PPA, and QHSE.

Your New Role

As our new Construction Manager, you will be part of our project execution team, and your primary focus will be to support the development of Latvian projects from an EPC point of view and to be responsible Construction Manager for the execution of PV plants in Latvia. Your role will be to effectively steer the construction of our multi-MW sites by handling the interface between our European Energy´s project managers, engineers, procurement professionals, and the numerous construction subcontractors on site as well as communication with local authorities.

Areas of Responsibilities

  • Act as European Energy’s representative for construction towards contractors and stakeholders to ensure HSE, time, cost, and quality of the construction sites
  • Manage Latvian legal requirements related to the administration of a construction company
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate construction site activities
  • Engaging in planning activities for projects in development.
  • Contract management of supplier and contractor agreements
  • Health and Safety – ensure compliance with the owner’s legal HSE requirements and save execution of works and safety coordination of contractors
  • Risk and mitigation planning for work on-site

Your Profile

  • You have a degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering. Relevant alternative professions and experience may also substitute or complement degree requirements
  • You hold a certificate in construction management and/or supervision of civil works (būvprakses sertifikāts Ēku būvdarbu vadīšanā un/vai būvuzraudzībā)
  • You have experience within quality systems, performing quality inspections of structural, civil, mechanical, or electrical work
  • You have experience in building larger projects with multiple contractors and handling the coordination of QHSE
  • You are fluent in Latvian and English
  • You are skilled in MS Office
  • You have a driving license
  • You are familiar with respective legislation
  • You are familiar with BIS (Būvniecības informācijas sistēma - Building Information System) of Latvia

Reports to: Head of Project Execution HQ, Morten Christian von Barner

Working hours: Full-time

Location: The position requires most of the time to be spent on construction sites, combined with the possibility of working from home or the office in Riga.

Travel activity: Regular site visits depending on the current construction phase.

Remuneration: We will offer remuneration corresponding to your qualification in the range of 4000-5000 EUR gross and other fringe benefits corresponding to European Energy remuneration policies.
