If you can say yes to the above then it might be you we are looking for as our Student Assistant in our QLA department.As student assistant in Quality, Legal & Academy (QLA), you will become a part of the sustainability team consisting of 2 employees, where we work closely together with the rest of VIKING on a global scale to meet VIKING's goal of being carbon neutral by 2030. Our team is located in Esbjerg.

Student assistants are an important part of the VIKING organization. Many of our students also complete their internships with us and write their thesis about real life projects and challenges in VIKING.

Your primary responsibilities and tasks include:

• Gathering data from VIKING sites to build our carbon footprint.
• Support the organization with any sustainability material needed for i.e customers.
• Assist in the implementation of new processes.
• Assist in the creation of VIKING’s Sustainability report.
• Calculation of LCA of our product range.
• Provide ad-hoc practical and administrative support to your colleagues

You will work approximately 15-20 hours a week (2-3 full days) – with flexibility around exam periods.

Your profile
The ideal candidate is currently studying a bachelor’s or master’s in Environmental science, Renewable energy, or Sustainability.

Moreover, candidates with other bachelor’s, master’s and/or relevant courses in LCA, CSR, circular economy, or similar are welcome to apply for the position.

You should have at least 1,5 years left of your studies.

• You are driven and looking for exactly that company which can offer you a student job and later maybe a permanent position in our Sustainability department.
• You’re meticulous, organized and responsible: you can take ownership of tasks and projects while seeing them through from briefing to implementation.
• You are detail-oriented and a positive can-do attitude.
• You are good interpretating databases.
• You enjoy working in a team that has an outgoing approach towards others and to contribute to the collaboration of our colleagues.
• You have good Microsoft 365 skills, mostly in Excel.
• You are comfortable working with complexity, adaptation and global tasks.

Since our corporate language is English, you have great English skills – both written and orally.
