About the job
Are you looking for a Student Assistant position? Would you like to kick-start your career working on cross-functional projects where we develop sensor technologies and solutions for multiple applications in Grundfos.
This is your chance to work with some of the sharpest minds as you join a team focusing on sensor development, sensor integration and sensor production within our four Divisions. In collaboration with a broad set of stakeholders across the organisation, our team creates multiple sensor solutions for multiple applications and customers.
In parallel, we are working on multidisciplinary fields around sensor development, including embedded software, signal acquisition, signal processing, mechanical design, testing and verification, documentation and approvals, but also ensuring sensor production at Grundfos and sourcing and integration of 3-party sensor solutions.
You will become part of the PD IND Solution and Modules, Sensor Team, which is a team of 12 highly dedicated colleagues. We focus on utilising our individual competences and strengths and a close collaboration within the team is of high value. We are working in an Agile setting, utilising daily scrum sessions. We are looking forward to welcoming you to our team and hear about your ideas.
We guarantee both a professional and personal development in an informal environment.
What is the job about?
As a Student Assistant, you will join the team as any other full-time colleague.
The nature of the work can be considered as an assistant product development engineer within sensors, in the sense that we are typically spending a period together with stakeholders in solving a specific problem or project – often requiring a broad set of skills to solve that problem.
Your tasks could for example be:
• The different phases of new sensor development, from early idea to testing and validation of the final product and solutions.
• Contribute to the development of integrating sensors into other Grundfos applications and systems.
• Contribute to technical quality improvements and related documentation.
• Contribute to the development of sensor signal processing algorithms and machine learning applications
• Contribute to the hands-on work with integration of sensors into pumps and systems, and the execution on testing in lab.
We are a quite diverse team in terms of skills, and we do not expect you to excel in all above tasks. We will do what we can to tailor your work around your skills and desires and the skills we already have in the team.
We expect you to work 15-20 hours per week at our headquarters in Bjerringbro with flexibility to work from home as well. The work time will vary from week to week, and we will find a suitable balance together. We are of course ready to schedule your working hours around exams and other school work.
What do you need to apply?
• You are studying a master’s degree within signal processing, software development, electronics, mechanical or control engineering or other relevant engineering background
• You thrive in working both theoretically in office, but also experimentally and practically in lab and workshop.
• You work in a structured and analytical manner when presented for many inputs, data, processes, and stakeholders
• You show initiative and work proactively and independently on new assignments as this will help you make the most of your time with us
• You are speaking and writing English fluently
